Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows individuals
to be issued all, or units of competency from a nationally
recognised qualification by demonstrating skills, understanding
and experience in a particular field of work.

Through an extensive partner network of registered training organisations (RTOs) Australian Education and Skills can convert your experience, skills, knowledge or overseas qualifications into a nationally recognised Australian qualification. The RPL assessment process can often be completed using existing evidence of your skills and may NOT require additional study.

Working with Australian Education and Skills to have your skills recognised through RPL can have a wide range of benefits for your current lifestyle and career. Achieving a nationally recognised qualification through Australian Education and Skills can have multiple benefits, including:

  • Saving your valuable money and time

  • Avoiding the repetition of previous training
  • Continuous professional development facilitating for further career growth
  • Help with immigration and visa requirements
  • No unnecessary taking time off work
  • Meeting industry & licensing requirements that are relevant to your career
  • Exemptions of higher education credit points

  • Step 1 - Skills assessment. Speak to us about what you would like to achieve, and allow us to guide you towards the qualifications that will help you reach them.
  • Step 2 - Portfolio of Experience. One of our dedicated consultants will guide you through the process of putting together a portfolio of evidence. This can contain overseas qualifications, transcripts, certificates, photos and videos, samples of work examples, letters of reference, your current resume, etc.
  • Step 3 - Review of Evidence. Once one of our partnered Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) has assessed your portfolio, the assessor assigned to you will be in touch if any additional evidence is required. If you have any weak areas, the RTO may assign a trainer to increase your skill set.
  • Step 4 - Recognised Qualification. Australian Education and Skills is partnered with Registered Training Organisations whose qualifications are nationally recognised in Australia, and are the same as the qualification you would receive from full time study. Qualifications can also be useful for licensing or immigration purposes.

Australian Education and Skills can help you get your experience recognised!
